Requirements
  • Familiar with US, EMA, and ICH regulations
  • Good working knowledge of microbiological assays
  • Experience with aseptic gowning and cleanroom operation activities
  • Experience in contamination control strategies
  • Good working knowledge of aseptic processing
  • Experience with GMP Quality/Compliance systems
  • BA or BS degree in Microbiology, life science or biochemistry
  • 1-2 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry in a Microbiology, Quality or Compliance function
Responsibilities
  • Conducting Environmental Monitoring in the production facility
  • Performing personnel monitoring to support Aseptic Gowning Qualification
  • Incubating and enumerating colony growth and subculture organisms
  • Coordinating and managing sample shipments to approved external contract laboratories for microbiological testing
  • Reviewing and reporting data results from external contract labs
  • Performing data entry into approved repository
  • Performing Microbiological and Environmental Monitoring trending and authoring reports
  • Managing bacterial growth media and plate inventories
  • Executing bioburden enumeration assays and endotoxin measurement assays
  • Completing documentation and reporting results
  • Collaborating with area owners to investigate environmental excursions
  • Implementing corrective actions for environmental excursions
  • Maintaining equipment and instruments
  • Coordinating preventive maintenance and calibrations
  • Executing microbiological method qualifications and verifications protocols
  • Maintaining the QC lab including periodic cleaning
  • Training personnel in and qualifying personnel for aseptic gowning
  • Adhering to and promoting laboratory health and safety requirements
