Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and proven sales experience.
  • Demonstrable success in enterprise-level software sales, including selling six- and seven-figure deals and managing an integrated selling team.
  • Experience in the storage management industry within SLED.
  • Deep understanding of the storage management or data management industry, including its products, competitors, history, emerging trends, and changing marketplace.
  • At least two years of success identifying accounts, building relationships, and selling directly or through partners.
  • Excellent communication, persuasive, and listening skills.
  • A background in IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
  • Achieve quarterly and annual quotas by selling to new and established large, complex prospects and customers.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for target-account expansion and new-account acquisition, including performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones over one- and three-year periods.
  • Create sales campaigns for target accounts and coordinate company executive involvement with customer and prospect leadership.
  • Coordinate company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
  • Manage a matrixed sales team and liaise with clients, Deal Desk, inside sales, partners, channels, sales engineers, professional services, finance, and legal to drive prospects to close.
  • Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer and prospect accounts.
  • Construct and deliver business cases at the chief experience officer level, including financial return on investment and total cost of ownership, technical, and strategic value propositions.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing clients.
  • Identify and build strategic relationships with partners and alliances that have existing relationships with assigned target accounts.
  • Negotiate and close deals according to company practices and processes.
  • Ensure orders meet all legal and financial requirements.
  • Maintain relevant industry, Commvault, and competitive knowledge.
  • Plan, attend, and coordinate executive briefings.
  • Leverage internal sales tools and processes to drive opportunities to a successful close.

Commvault launches Active Directory Pre Recover for near-instant identity access during cyberattacks

Commvault has launched Active Directory Pre Recover, a solution that reduces recovery time for compromised identity infrastructure from hours to minutes. The technology creates a clean, standby copy of Active Directory in an isolated environment using Commvault's existing Cleanroom technology. When disruption occurs, organisations can fail over to this clean copy within minutes rather than waiting for full forest recovery. The solution continuously scans backups using Threat Scan to ensure the standby copy remains free of malicious content. "Commvault has already made significant progress reducing identity recovery times from weeks to hours, and now we are extending that progress toward near-real-time availability," said Rajiv Kottomtharayil, chief products officer at Commvault. The solution will be available for early access in coming months as part of Commvault's Identity Resilience portfolio.

Commvault's AI recovery tools gain Google threat intelligence as subscription revenue hits $267M but margin guidance disappoints

Commvault triples Azure cloud recovery reach to 62% as subscription revenue hits $267M

Clumio wins FedRAMP Ready status as Commvault shares climb 5.3% in one month
