Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering with more than 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to understand multiple different programming languages and their respective build systems, including Rust, C, C++, Python
  • Familiarity with existing ci/cd pipeline frameworks
  • Experience in scripting and test automation
  • Familiarity with Github and Gitlab respective ci/cd workflows and automation systems
  • Familiarity with Yocto
  • Familiarity with Python, Rust, Debian, Ubuntu, and RPM based packaging and distributions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally and with multiple teams and systems
  • Familiarity with Ansible and maintaining roles
Responsibilities
  • Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines in Github and Gitlab
  • Working with the Developer Infrastructure team on pipelines and runners and tooling needed to facilitate system engineering’s usage of resources
  • Automating build processes for a variety of tooling, as well as packaging for respective tools
  • Automation of release pipelines for a variety of public deliverables
  • Working with developers to develop more extensive integrations and testing in the CI/CD pipeline
  • Optimizing the CI/CD pipeline where appropriate to run tests or integrations that make sense only for given commits and check ins
  • Helping with the development, testing, maintenance, and release of existing Yocto derived Linux distributions
  • Writing and maintaining appropriate, and updated, packaging and respective automations for a variety of Linux distributions (RPM, DEB, etc) as well as language specific distribution mechanisms (PyPI for python)
  • Working on upstreaming code and packages into the broader ecosystem where appropriate and doable
