Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in TESOL, English/Composition, Linguistics, Foreign Language, or Education.
  • Two years of experience teaching college-level English as a Second Language courses.
  • Prior coursework for adult education certification in English as a Second Language or a Certificate in TESOL.
  • Ability to present curriculum in a classroom or lab environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Additional qualifications may be requested as relevant to the academic department.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Teach courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards.
  • Evaluate and assess student learning outcomes.
  • Provide student support, mentoring, and academic advising.
  • Develop curriculum and periodically review and update instructional materials.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, Foreign Language, and two years of teaching English as a Second Language at the college or adult level.
  • A master's degree in Education with a focus on TESOL, secondary education, or adult education and two years of teaching English as a Second Language at the college or adult level.
  • Experience teaching in workforce development, adult education, continuing education, or non-credit training programs, particularly in short-term certificate or credential-aligned programs.
  • Experience designing or delivering customized training programs in onsite, online, or hybrid formats.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and workforce needs.
