Requirements
  • 12+ Years with Bachelors in Science or similar STEM field; 10+ Years with Masters in Science or similar STEM field; 8+ Years with PhD in Science or similar STEM field.
  • Have a deep understanding of scalable and efficient Dev*Ops pipelines that enable continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) of complex software systems to include automation and provisioning using modern tools and technologies.
  • Have deep understanding in the development of complex systems models and simulation using MBSE tools or other modern modeling tools.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance
  • Knowledge of DoD based Platforms and Embedded Systems
  • Ability to travel in CONUS (25% or less)
  • Understanding of deliverable technical documents and reports
  • Must have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management, and customers in a methodical, detailed, and process-oriented fashion.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in leading teams to solve technical problems, including decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring.
Responsibilities
  • Work across the DS sector to establish a discriminating Dev*Ops and M&S capability, including leading a community of practice for the Sector.
  • Support the DS sector with AI Center of Practice guidance and Governance requirements.
  • Works closely with AI Systems Engineers to understand program intent, system capabilities, and output requirements.
  • Champion best practices in infrastructure as code, containerization, and relevant application development processes.
  • Help drive the skills growth in the development of simulation scenarios, mission engineering, and data analysis for performance.
  • Provide plans for attracting key engineering talent, including individual skill and career path development.
  • Provide guidance and governance to teams during proposals or program startup on best way to implement the capabilities within their teams to increase performance.
  • Lead the development of Dev*Ops and M&S training plans for engineering development in knowledge and skills and to support attracting new talent in these areas.
  • Be the primary sector subject matter expert working with inter-organizational / program management and senior external customers via technical and strategic briefings as needed.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers in Dev*Ops and M&S methodologies.
