Requirements
  • Eight (8) years of accounting, auditing and/or financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Major in accounting field strongly preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent designation preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assists in review and ensures completion of monthly, quarterly, annual, and other financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Assists in establishment and maintenance of appropriate accounting documentation, systems, and internal controls, processes, and data.
  • Provides research on new and existing accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Manages accounting staff and directs their work to accomplish assigned Finance department responsibilities.
  • Reviews finance system entries from accounting staff to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Interacts with senior management in the development and understanding of strategies.
  • Communicates issues, project status, and other applicable information to Finance upper management.
  • Acts as GAAP technical advisor to management.
  • Ensures all deadlines related to assigned areas of responsibility are met.
  • Works closely with other departments as needed to complete projects.
