The Evaluation Team at PCG conducts needs assessments; workload studies; and process, outcome, impact, policy and fiscal evaluations. The team also works closely with clients regarding data collection, management, visualization and dissemination in a broad range of sectors including behavioral health, public health, child welfare, child care and early education, and justice.
Overall Responsibilities:
Assigned short-term and long-term tasks on a variety of evaluation and research projects. Expected to complete a wide range of work assignments that includes assisting with data collection tool development, conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses, assisting in report drafting, conducting background research, and preparing various materials for client presentations. Familiarity with state and private agencies, including but not limited to the following is desired: state/local departments of child welfare, juvenile justice/youth services, public health, behavioral health, child care and early education and human service agencies. Travel to client sites for meetings, observations, focus groups, and data collection, as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and administering data collection tools, such as data tracking forms, surveys and qualitative interview or focus group protocols.
- Collect, enter and analyze project related qualitative and quantitative data.
- Assist in developing PowerPoint presentations and written deliverables.
- Conduct policy, regulatory, and other background research on best practices and innovation.
- Synthesize research, policy and/or project findings into concise written documents.
- Participate in business development activities including proposal writing and production.
- Other responsibilities as necessary.
Required Skills:
- Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
- Strong analytic skills, including the ability to understand, analyze and organize qualitative and quantitative data and display in professional charts and graphs.
- Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Travel up to approximately 25% is required.
- Experience conducting background research.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience conducting research or program evaluations.
- Minimum of two years of experience employing a mixed-methods evaluation approach preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with state and local government programs and services preferred.

PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $51,250-$70,000 and a potential discretionary bonus of up to 10%

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below.
