API Testing & Backend (Full Stack)

Summary:

We are looking for a Software Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience to join our growing Seattle based team.  The role requires the ability to contribute to ongoing applications and take the lead on upcoming initiatives.  We work in a fast-paced technology heavy environment in which you will be expected to take on complex challenges and build scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the definition and documentation of a comprehensive testing plan for API interfaces, focusing on both integration and unit test strategies to ensure all functional and interoperability requirements are met.
• Design and develop backend applications hosted on Prem Linux based
• Comfortable collaborating in an agile environment, comfortable contributing to both ongoing and upcoming project initiatives
• Take ownership of API quality assurance, including test automation and reporting
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on testing strategies with business and technical goals

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Proven experience designing and implementing API testing plans, including integration and unit tests
• Strong proficiency with backend development using Java, NodeJS or C++
• Hands-on experience with test frameworks and API testing tools
• Working knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL/KV Stores)
• Experience with shell scripting
• Familiarity with version control systems
• Experience with IoT a plus
• Experience with MQTT a plus
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail

Primary Location Pay Range: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
