Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The candidate must be able to transport patients and assist with positioning patients in the MRI scanner, including some heavy lifting.
  • The candidate must pass MRI safety screening and disclose any medical implants or history of metallic foreign body injury.
  • The candidate must be able to concentrate and perform computer data entry with close attention to detail for up to 100% of work time.
  • The candidate must be emotionally mature and able to function under stress.
Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to areas throughout the hospital in a courteous manner.
  • Respond to patients’ needs and inquiries politely and promptly.
  • Build solid relationships with patients and their families.
  • Transport patients and assist with positioning them in the MRI scanner.
  • Provide patient support during MRI procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Desired Qualifications
  • Use interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, patients’ families, physicians, and other health care providers when assisting in MRI.
  • Use organizational skills to implement several tasks simultaneously and coordinate work within the department.
