Requirements
  • At least 8 years of applicable and progressive experience in manufacturing and operations leadership.
  • Proven use of continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques and metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of plant operations, warehouse management, demand planning, and capital expenditures.
  • Solid understanding of unique customer requirements and the ability to strategically plan effective production runs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and company standards for all employees.
  • Select, develop, train, and motivate staff to attain short- and long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead Production Managers and Shift Supervisors in operating a multiple-shift manufacturing facility and develop a highly responsive production team.
  • Lead the plant team in quality, service, and continuous improvement across all aspects of the business.
  • Lead the operation to ensure financial goals and objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Apply data-driven problem solving within a team environment.
  • Develop and improve measurement and control systems to ensure effective performance in productivity, quality, and cost containment.
  • Develop business plans and budgets to support company growth and profitability.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and hold current vendors to contractual obligations.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, planning, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Keep senior leadership informed of progress toward objectives through monthly progress reports and financial reporting.
  • Identify areas requiring improvement and ensure the appropriate production or administrative functions implement necessary actions.
  • Lead the development of preventive maintenance programs for the physical facility and plant equipment.
  • Support implementation of automated systems throughout the plant.
  • Remain informed about competitive activities and market trends while maintaining sound customer relationships.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field plus 5+ years of applicable and progressive experience in manufacturing and operations leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience providing creative solutions to complex customer-facing issues and directly interacting with customer leadership teams to accomplish business objectives.
  • Proven leadership, communication, teaching, motivation, change management, project management, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to prepare and present complex information to executives while generating a strategic plan that integrates business issues, functions, and resources for effective action.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting.
  • General understanding of job costing and profitability implications.

Southern Nevada lands 200+ jobs and $166M in capital investment across manufacturing and tech

Southern Nevada has secured over 200 new jobs and more than $166 million in capital investment through multiple projects approved by the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development Board. The initiatives are expected to generate approximately $227 million in two-year economic impact across advanced manufacturing, healthcare, clean energy and technology sectors. Key projects include Nuance Medical expanding with a new headquarters in Clark County, creating 25 jobs, and Redapt relocating its global headquarters to Henderson with 75 new positions averaging $76.59 per hour. In North Las Vegas, Edgewood Renewables will develop a renewable gasoline facility with $138.7 million in capital investment and 60 jobs, whilst Taylor Print and Forge Industries are also expanding operations. The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance facilitated the developments, reinforcing Nevada's position as a destination for business growth and economic diversification.
