Granola is an AI-powered workspace designed for founders and teams. It began as a smart notetaker and grew into a daily tool that stays open all day, not just during meetings. The product combines accurate meeting transcripts with human-editable notes, so users can capture, edit, and query conversations and thoughts in one place. It helps teams centralize knowledge from meetings, sales, hiring, and customer feedback, and to search across all captured content. Unlike traditional transcription tools, Granola emphasizes continuous use and user control, blending automation with manual edits to maintain reliable records. Its goal is to become a foundational layer for how modern teams remember, organize, and collaborate by enabling easy capture, organization, and retrieval of knowledge across workstreams.

Granola launches Apple Watch app for note-taking without phones

AI note-taking app Granola has launched an Apple Watch app, allowing users to record and transcribe meetings without using their smartphones. The app can be set as a watch face for quick access and surfaces reminders about upcoming meetings whilst working with the iOS app launched last year. Co-founder Chris Pedregal said the watch app is designed for capturing in-person meetings, such as walking one-on-ones, without needing to remove a phone from one's pocket. During testing, employees with Apple Watches shifted a significant portion of their mobile usage from iOS to the watch. Earlier this year, Granola achieved unicorn status with a $125 million Series C round led by Index Ventures.
