Requirements
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 2 years of related Public Accounting experience preferred, or a 3-year mix of industry experience.
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to independently perform research to propose a solution for accounting issues.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems is essential; experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a close-knit team.
  • Solid relationship building skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to details, and accuracy are critical in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the project accounting month end close processes including on a monthly basis the preparation and review of all journal entries, schedule reconciliations, TB reviews.
  • On a quarterly basis, preparation of the quarterly reporting packages including financials, DSCR, distributions, operating reports, and other reporting requirements as necessary.
  • Work closely with the treasury operations team and provide a timely weekly review of subcash and monthly review of bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting in the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Preparing and maintaining various schedules to support financial statements and footnote disclosures.
  • Working collaboratively with various business units to gather information and build a strong understanding of the company’s operations and ensure accurate disclosures in the Company's financial statements.
  • Assisting in implementation of new accounting standards and processes related to the ERP system.
  • Providing suggestions and support for process improvements/efficiencies.
  • Assisting with requests from external auditors to provide necessary documentation and information for audits.
