About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure, improving our deployment processes, and maintaining the health of our AWS-based tech stack.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, including but not limited to ECS, RDS Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, and EKS.
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Work closely with the development team to optimize the deployment and scalability of Python-based, Django-powered applications.
• Monitor and ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure.
• Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and improve the development and production environments.
• Document and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.

You could be a great fit if

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE role.
• Strong experience with AWS services, particularly ECS, RDS Aurora PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, and EKS.
• Proficient in writing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of best practices in site reliability and DevOps principles.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as AWS CloudWatch and New Relic.

You could be an amazing fit if

• Solid experience scaling web applications.
• Previous experience in software development.
• Experience with administration and optimization of data analysis tools such as Metabase and Snowflake.
• Startup experience (not required, but we build and move fast!)

Compensation

$160k-$200k USD salary + Equity + Benefits
