The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Autism Coordinator to lead on the design, development and delivery of Brent’s Autism Pathway.
In this role, you’ll:
- Coordinate and monitor services for autistic residents aged 16+
- Work in partnership with people with lived experience to co-produce solutions that meet local needs
- Act as the lead individual in coordinating meetings, research, and training related to autism
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across health, social care, housing, education and employment support
- Promote positive understanding and awareness of autism across the borough
- Support the delivery of innovative projects that make a real difference to autistic residents and their families
This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping services for autistic people in Brent and ensuring that our Autism Pathway reflects national best practice.
The Person
We’re seeking someone who can bring:
- Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorder, relevant policies, and local resources
- Experience coordinating meetings, analysing data, and working with multiple systems
- The ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and communities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentations
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A commitment to inclusivity and supporting autistic people in the community
- Experience in local government, community support, or project management would be an advantage, but is not essential.
