WHY ROBLOX STUDIO?

The Studio team builds the main app that creators use to build content, and acts as a central interface, tying together all aspects of Roblox creators’ lifecycle. The Studio DSA member is in charge of defining KPI metrics, creating strategic analysis, designing A/B experiments and applying predictive models. As a data scientist, you will be a key partner to our product and engineering teams to shape the future of Roblox. You’ll partner with data scientists, product managers, engineers and leaders across the company to take our understanding of our creators to the next level.

You Will:

• Accelerate product development through your understanding of the underlying data and your ability to partner with product and technical leaders to provide insights that drive growth.
• Develop a model for the creator journey from their first experiences with Roblox through to being a creator that makes meaningful contributions to the metaverse.
• Access raw data, and then transform it, analyze it, and render it in a compelling way.
• Build dashboards to identify root causes of changes in metrics.
• Evaluate A/B experiments to determine success of product feature launches.
• Build predictive models to provide insight on high signal creators to target and grow to the next stage.
• Identify how the Roblox Studio product plays a role in creating great experiences on the platform.

You Have:

• BA/BS or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics or other technical field
• 2+ years of industry experience in analytics
• 2+ years of experience using big data query/processing languages such as SQL, Hive or Spark to transform/manipulate very large datasets
• 2+ years of experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R
• Experience working with infrastructure teams and content platforms, particularly user-generated content
• Ability to communicate analytics results and data storytelling to influence product teams and leaders
• Experience using ML and Neural Networks to build tools that enable AI assisted creation.
• Knowledge of Econometric Techniques, Causal ML, and Meta learners for product impact evaluation.
