Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Management, or Statistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to ten years of related experience and/or training, preferably in the janitorial or facilities field.
  • Knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in maintenance work.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word, plus Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Calendar.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
  • Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration and safety standards for janitorial staff.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff with professionalism.
  • Ability to quickly change goals and direction based on customer needs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear; occasionally lift at least 40 pounds of office or facilities equipment.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Support customer accounts, maintain ongoing relationships, and grow accounts to their full potential.
  • Assist with customer inquiries, employee management, and supply and equipment ordering.
  • Ensure staffing is available to meet foreseeable requirements.
  • Ensure supplies, materials, and work performed meet company quality and budgetary standards.
  • Maintain the operating condition and security of company tools and equipment under the role's control.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete inventory of company materials, supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure company quality standards are maintained.
  • Evaluate the performance of reporting employees and discuss evaluations with them.
  • Oversee janitorial operations.
  • Manage supervisors who oversee staff and manage the floor crew.
  • Perform quality inspection audits.
  • Order janitorial equipment and supplies.
  • Complete and submit accurate and timely reports, including timekeeping, injury management, attendance, and Change of Status requests.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all customer accounts.
  • Manage job starts.
  • Upsell services to customers.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on job procedures and safety.
  • Use training equipment, supplies, and chemicals to train new hires.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly safety training.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet foreseeable requirements.
  • Train, coach, develop, motivate, and redirect associates when necessary.
