Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production scheduling within manufacturing OR 10+ years of progressive supply chain or operations experience with advanced scheduling expertise
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and modeling, including proficiency with PivotTables, Power Query, Solver, and Data Analysis tools.
  • Ability to create automated dashboards using VBA or Macros.
  • Functional knowledge of Demand Planning, S&OP, Master Production Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning, Production Activity Control.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) for planning, scheduling and inventory management.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on meeting customer demand and optimizing production efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor teams and drive performance improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support 3 Business Units and 2 manufacturing plants across Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) manufacturing environments.
  • Consolidate all sources of demand; develop manufacturing requirements schedules; perform resource requirement planning; assess feasibility and present alternatives for approval.
  • Define and maintain planning tools such as planning bills, and product load profiles to ensure accurate modeling and scheduling.
  • Enforce governance mechanisms, including planning horizons, time fences and change approval workflows.
  • Develop models to project inventory levels, assess resources utilization, and optimize working capital requirements while meeting financial objectives.
  • Lead supply validation tasks within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) monthly cycle to ensure alignment with business goals and operational capabilities.
  • Update and maintain the MPS in Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations to stabilize the MRP plan.
  • Ensure that production schedules adhere to all quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, buyers, and schedulers to update and maintain calendars, resources, work centers, routes, product structures, lead times, safety stock levels and other planning parameters.
  • Coordinate with inventory management to secure raw materials and components on time while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
  • Analyze and validate schedule changes in collaboration with customer service, sales, product engineers, buyers, and schedulers, ensuring changes align with approved priorities and available capacity.
  • Define, track, and report key performance metrics, including schedule adherence, resource utilization, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery rates.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and enhancing planning systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Act as a change agent, leveraging functional expertise, problem-solving skills to support organizational goals and drive operational excellence.
  • Lead and mentor a team of at least two Production Control Specialists/Schedulers, ensuring adherence to scheduling policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP) – Highly Preferred but Not Required.
