Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR operations or HR technology, with a focus on strategic planning, data and analysis, and process optimization.
  • Strong legal and regulatory knowledge and experience in both the UK and US labor markets
  • Experience with establishing new HR processes and identifying/implementing innovative HR digital solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to unify our location-based teams to drive one employee experience.
  • Leverage technology, data and AI/ML to evolve our platform of employee and manager self-service.
  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Manage and develop the HR Operations team to build a high-performing group that delivers exceptional service.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of HR services and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR operational strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging feedback to optimize HR services.
  • Ensure all HR policies and operations comply with legal and regulatory standards and reflect industry best practices.
  • Lead capabilities in resolving employee relations matters, in partnership with the People Partnering team, and maintaining positive relationships across our employee population.
  • Oversee the HR operations budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Champion initiatives that enhance the overall associate experience, making Simply Business an employer of choice.
  • In partnership with internal colleagues from across the business and parent company, oversee the HR tech stack to drive automation, streamline HR processes, and ensure data integrity. Play a key role in reducing manual and one-off processes and look to develop automated solutions within the HR technology suite.
  • Drive people-related governance, including process and policy development and drive an audit culture.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ceridian Dayforce and Workday experience preferred.

London Tops Leaderboard As Highest Growth Buy To Let Market In The Uk

At the start of a pivotal year for the UK’s private rental market, Simply Business, one of the UK’s largest providers of small business and landlord insurance, has analysed over 100,000 landlord insurance policies to uncover the UK’s buy-to-let property hotspots, and point to top investment opportunities for existing, or aspiring, landlords in 2025.The data reveals a dramatic re-shuffle in the buy-to-let leaderboard. London has bounced back as the buy-to-let capital of the UK, with 13% growth in new buy-to-let landlords between 2023-2024, compared to just 4.11% growth the previous year. After stuttering in 2023, London’s strong continued tenant demand and the broad array of property types buoyed the market once more last year.While Glasgow topped the chart in 2022-2023 with 11.95% growth, last year saw it fall back to the bottom of the board, with a much more conservative 7% growth in new policyholders.Mike Harvey, Landlord in London with 25 years’ experience in the market said “The London rental market is performing very well. It’s straightforward to find good tenants, and rental incomes remain strong. As a landlord, I’m also finding that insurers are very competitive at the moment, and I have easy access to a wide range of tradespeople who are always quick to respond when I need help with my properties.
