Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Business, Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of marketing analytics methodologies, including attribution modeling, customer lifetime value (CLV), and cohort analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, knowledge of Snowflake, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
  • Expertise in digital analytics platforms such as Heap, Adobe Analytics, or Google Analytics
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms such as Hubspot, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Salesforce, or similar
  • Strong communication skills with experience influencing executive stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex data projects in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic analytics partner to Education Services marketing, product, and advertising stakeholders, translating business questions into measurable frameworks, analyses, and actionable recommendations
  • Lead analytics support for our new advertising service, including measurement strategy, tracking implementation, and ongoing performance analysis
  • Own and evolve paid media measurement, ensuring accurate and scalable tracking, attribution approaches, and conversion measurement across channels
  • Move beyond standard reporting to deliver insights that drive optimization, experimentation, and informed decision-making
  • Support owned and paid channel analytics across our website, with a strong focus on lead generation performance and funnel effectiveness
  • Leverage web analytics tools to analyze user behavior, conversion paths, and on-site engagement
  • Connect campaign performance to on-site behavior and business outcomes, enabling a holistic view of channel impact
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights and narratives tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and gaps across channels to inform marketing strategy and investment decisions
  • Help define and maintain best practices and standards for channel and advertising analytics within a centralized analytics team
  • Continuously evaluate and improve event tagging, tracking processes, and reporting frameworks to enhance data quality, scalability, and performance insights
Desired Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or marketing analytics, with a strong focus on paid media, advertising, and channel performance
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for tag management and data layer setup
  • Experience with Python, R, SAS, or similar for statistical marketing modeling
  • Usage of SEO tools such as Google Search Console or Ahrefs

Sallie Mae raises $1.5B in ABS deal backed by Smart Option student loans

Sallie Mae has raised $1.5 billion through its latest asset-backed securities deal, according to DBRS. The entire collateral pool consists of loans originated under the company's Smart Option programme, which has demonstrated significantly lower default rates compared with its Signature programme. The improved performance is attributed to better credit quality amongst Smart Option borrowers and tighter underwriting guidelines. Asset-backed securities deals allow lenders to package loans and sell them to investors, freeing up capital for new lending.

Sallie Mae prices $618M student loan asset-backed securities deal

Sallie Mae appoints Steve Turner as chief technology and enablement officer

Sallie Mae has appointed Steve Turner as Chief Technology and Enablement Officer, overseeing technology architecture, IT innovation, data and security. Turner brings over 25 years of technology leadership experience, most recently serving as Managing Director and Head of Data, Analytics, Insights and Marketing Technology at Bank of America. Before Bank of America, Turner spent more than a decade at Walgreens, leading digital transformation in roles including Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Digital Operations. Sallie Mae shares jump 3.9% on Q4 earnings beat of $1.12 per share, revenue up 16.4%

Sallie Mae shares rose 3.9% after the student loan provider reported fourth-quarter 2025 results that exceeded Wall Street expectations. The company posted earnings of $1.12 per share, beating analyst estimates of $0.94, whilst revenue reached $454.1 million against forecasts of $449.7 million, representing a 16.4% year-on-year increase. However, net interest income of $377.1 million fell slightly short of expectations. The company's full-year 2026 earnings guidance of $2.75 per share at the midpoint also missed analyst estimates by 1%. Two months ago, the stock dropped 16.4% after multiple analyst downgrades citing concerns about higher expense outlooks. Morgan Stanley downgraded from 'Overweight' to 'Equalweight', whilst Compass Point cut its rating from 'Buy' to 'Sell'. Sallie Mae currently trades at $27.42 per share.
