Dell raises $5B in bond sale as AI server demand drives stock up over 400%

Dell is raising $5 billion through an investment-grade bond sale, attracting approximately $23 billion in investor orders at peak demand — nearly five times the offering size. The company, initially targeting $4 billion, is issuing bonds across four tranches with maturities from three to 10 years. Proceeds will repay notes maturing this year, including $2.3 billion due in October, and fund general corporate purposes. The sale reflects strong investor confidence in Dell's AI server business, which has driven the company's stock to quadruple this year. Dell recently increased its fiscal-year sales forecast by $25 billion, securing contracts for machines featuring Nvidia AI chips and traditional servers. Eight banks are managing the offering, part of 16 US investment-grade deals this week.

Goldman Sachs raises Dell stock price target to $570 on record $60.9B AI server orders

Goldman Sachs analyst Katherine Murphy raised her price target on Dell Technologies to $570 from $510, maintaining a "Buy" rating. The upgrade follows Dell's strong fiscal second quarter, where revenue reached $47 billion, up 58% year-over-year, and earnings per share jumped 203% to $7.04. Dell's Infrastructure Solutions Group drove growth, generating record revenue of $31.8 billion, up 89%. The company booked $60.9 billion in AI server orders during the quarter, ending with a $95 billion backlog. Over the past year, total AI server orders exceeded $130 billion. Murphy cited durable enterprise IT demand, growing agentic AI adoption, accelerating AI server orders, and improved operating margins as key factors behind the raised target.

Anthropic secures $15B credit facility, expects $65B revenue ahead of IPO

Anthropic, the developer behind Claude AI chatbot, has secured a $15 billion credit facility ahead of its initial public offering. Major financial institutions including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Citigroup are backing the arrangement.
