Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years in a quality engineering or software engineering role.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a manager of a quality engineering team.
  • Documented history of building teams and supporting the growth of quality engineers.
  • Extremely strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to be accountable for the success of media quality initiatives and the quality team’s role in ensuring the timely delivery of new features and capabilities.
  • Understanding of the principles behind agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience using project management and tracking tools like Jira and TestRail.
  • Familiarity with testing tools like Charles Proxy and Network Link Conditioner.
  • Prior experience developing software using languages like JavaScript or C++ will be helpful in supporting the members of the team who are focused on test automation.
Responsibilities
  • Manage quality engineers across multiple projects.
  • Keep tabs on ongoing work in each project.
  • Develop an understanding of the media system architecture and how different components relate to one another.
  • Review the work of individual quality engineers, including test plans, test strategy documentation, and, as needed, individual bugs.
  • Establish and enforce standards for processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Actively support the growth and development of members of the quality team.
  • Oversee the work of the test automation team, which creates automated test infrastructure for media platform components.
