- Coordinate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, mechanical designers, and control engineers to develop new products.
- Assist quality inspectors in generating data tags and templates.
- Coordinate with team members to create wiring diagrams and lay out three-dimensional electrical components in SolidWorks.
- Review and update bills of material in the Macola system.
- Coordinate with personnel from the Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Bill of Material, and Sales departments to meet project specifications.
- Provide shop support and assistance to the Electrical Assembly and Testing departments with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning control system testing and commissioning.
- Understand and implement UL 1995, NFPA 70, UL 60335-1, and UL 60335-2-40 design requirements, methodologies, and practices.
- Create electrical standards or wiring instructions for multiple units.
- Establish data tag templates and generate data tags for every unit.
- Create, review, and modify all electrical data in the UCA Engineering Database, product brochures, submittals, and related documentation.
- Evaluate wiring practices and components for cost reduction and efficiency while ensuring code compliance, and follow up with ETL/MET/ETC on electrical component changes.
- Assist field service engineers with electrical problems and recommend design modifications to eliminate unit or system malfunctions.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
