Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Familiarity with physician practice workflows, hospital outpatient departments, and patient experiences within the organization is required.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality.
  • Provide end-user training on clinical system applications supported by the Information Technology Training department.
  • Develop training project plans in correlation with Information Technology project planning and guidelines to meet implementation deadlines.
  • Develop lesson plans, curriculum designs, training manuals, classroom exercises, competency assessments and testing, and online computer-based learning modules for employee roles and job functions using clinical systems.
  • Participate in application testing, simulations, and go-live activities, including production.
  • Collaborate with analysts on application changes and new features to develop training strategies.
  • Review interactions with stakeholders, the business community, and end-users to ensure training meets business and clinical needs.
  • Review project status and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
  • Analyze, design, build, test, and troubleshoot application and technical issues related to Master Training Environment training environments.
  • Participate in on-call scheduling as required.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to Credentialed Trainers on the training team.
  • Assist the Epic Lead Trainer with Master Training Environment development across the Epic training team.
  • Lead the training team in communicating training policies, coordinating required training, and managing classroom and virtual training.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, end-users, and training team members to optimize the training experience.
  • Serve as a primary support contact for training end-users.
  • Lead all phases of training maintenance and execution.
  • Lead analysis of new training releases and validate impacts to workflows.
  • Lead identification and troubleshooting of issues and guide the team in resolving them.
  • Support junior staff members in evaluating and resolving training issues, identifying and implementing training changes, retrieving requested data, and performing day-to-day training operations.
  • Collaborate with analysts on training changes to ensure optimal execution and maintenance of training strategies.
  • Review, build, test, and assist the lead trainer with managing and troubleshooting technical issues related to Master Training Environment training environments.
  • Work with stakeholders, the business community, and end-users to ensure training meets business and clinical needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members, including participating in one-on-one and weekly team meetings.
  • Review the status of training rollouts and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide end-user support and address urgent issues.
  • Become knowledgeable about UHealth policies, procedures, and business operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • EpicCare Ambulatory certification is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or a healthcare-related organization is preferred.
  • Familiarity with case or care management workflows and wellness programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality reporting initiatives such as Physician Quality Reporting System, Accountable Care Organizations/Medicare Shared Savings Program, and Meaningful Use is preferred.
  • Familiarity with health plan concepts and workflows is preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of the Epic Master Training Environment build is preferred.
  • Skill and experience in adult education is preferred.
