Requirements
  • Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge in electronics theory, including component knowledge and analogue and digital circuitry expertise
  • PCB design experience including schematic capture, PCB layout using any enterprise software with focus on Design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Knowledge of High-speed digital layout design practices and signal integrity (matched impedance, stack up and manufacturing restrictions)
  • Experience with digital communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB, LVDS, Ethernet etc).
  • Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters, etc.
  • Experience using mechanical CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks) and mechanical DFM
  • Strong debugging experience and fault identification.
Responsibilities
  • Be in charge of the overall engineering developing of a Spire design
  • Own electrical and mechanical design
  • Own test plan development
  • Drive prototyping and testing mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
  • Help with preparation of detailed system documentation
  • Providing production support to the manufacturing team
  • Assisting other team members from multiple disciplines achieve their goals
