Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering (including systems engineering), or computer science
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, remote sensing, aerospace, or defense
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience specifically in systems engineering
  • Two (2) years of experience specifically with MBSE and modeling
  • Two (2) years of experience developing system/software requirements
  • Basic familiarity with coding in Python
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Implementing systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288
  • Designing and modeling architectures for data processing systems
  • Developing artifacts using Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Mentoring other SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and methodologies
  • Communicating professionally and effectively between customer representatives, program managers, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team
  • Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • Domain experience with remote sensor systems or software architecture, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing
  • Experience supporting systems engineering programs in the defense and aerospace fields
  • Experience supporting prototypes transformation into production level engineering solutions
  • Additional professional experience in systems engineering beyond 2 years
  • Familiarity with the Cameo family of tools, specifically Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Experience with Agile software development methods
  • Demonstrated experience in program management and project leadership
  • Familiarity with the Earned Value Management System
  • Graduate degrees or coursework in Systems Engineering or related fields
  • An active SECRET DoD security clearance or higher
