Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science, engineering, or a technology-related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
  • At least 6 years of cloud infrastructure and software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service and container-based deployments, or platforms such as OpenShift, Google Kubernetes Service, or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service.
  • Advanced understanding of application performance monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Application Insights, Datadog, Log Analytics, New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Advanced understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and tooling, including Terraform, CloudFormation templates, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager templates, on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Deep knowledge of configuration management and orchestration utilities such as Ansible, PowerShell Desired State Configuration, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Advanced understanding of cloud concepts including elasticity, security, and identity management.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies using Jira or Azure DevOps Boards.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience automating processes with PowerShell, Bash, command-line interfaces, REST APIs, Python, Azure Resource Manager templates, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service, Google Kubernetes Service, or Helm.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ability to work with focused areas of OneStream Software.
  • Understanding of practical SOC and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program controls to assist Compliance and Security teams.
Responsibilities
  • Implement application and infrastructure observability solutions to ensure application availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Participate in regular on-call rotations and document incidents and their resolutions through post-mortem reports and review meetings.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify, develop, deploy, and maintain reliable systems and services.
  • Influence and create designs, architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale systems.
  • Sustain a high level of reliability for key services and automated systems.
  • Automate processes to improve reliability, performance, and availability.
  • Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide feedback in pull requests and peer coding reviews.
  • Implement codified automated solutions that build integrations between Dynatrace, Azure DevOps, and Jira.
  • Mentor others in several technical areas.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working for a cloud service provider, managed service provider, or Software as a Service provider.
  • At least 6 years of relevant Azure experience deploying and managing systems using Infrastructure as Code concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies and .NET, including .NET, C#, and SQL.
  • Experience writing efficient and reliable code in a development environment.
  • Experience with Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine, or other Linux distributions.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of containerized applications, particularly the reliability and monitoring of those applications.
