Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support loan operations staff by providing coaching, performance management, and training.
  • Manage daily workflow, staffing levels, and workload distribution.
  • Monitor pipeline activity, exceptions, and backlog to meet service-level expectations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Maintain proper loan documentation, procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and addressing findings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Support implementation of process enhancements and system updates.
  • Use loan systems, including loan origination systems and core banking systems, to track and manage operational performance.
  • Partner with lenders, credit teams, and other departments to ensure smooth loan execution.
  • Support customer service efforts related to loan servicing and transactions.
  • Ensure departmental documents and activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of required compliance training.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • System administrative experience with Jack Henry SilverLake, Fiserv, or equivalent banking software.

Simmons Bank will close 26 branches, including 6 in Arkansas. 4 hours, 7 minutes ago by Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Simmons Bank has decided to close 26 branches across its six-state footprint, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The bank said the decision is "part of a broader review of the Company's retail network strategy... intended to align Simmons Bank's branch network with evolving customer preferences while maintaining customer access, preserving service levels, and continuing to provide advice, guidance, and financial solutions through nearby branches and other banking channels." Jay Brogdon, the bank's president and chief executive officer, told Arkansas Business on Thursday that six Arkansas branches in Fort Smith, Hot Springs, Jonesboro, North Little Rock and Pine Bluff will close. The bank will also close six branches in Texas, six in Tennessee, five in Missouri and three in Oklahoma. In the Tuesday SEC filing, Simmons said its management believes customers will see limited disruptions, "as there is no significant geographic concentration among the affected locations." The closures will affect about 100 employees, but Simmons said it expects to retain about 70% of those employees through "placement in other branch locations or alternative positions within the Company." Simmons First National reports Q2 net income of $66.7M with diluted EPS of $0.46

Simmons First National Corporation reported net income of $66.7 million for the second quarter of 2026, with diluted earnings per share of $0.46. Adjusted net income reached $72.2 million, whilst adjusted diluted EPS stood at $0.50. The company's net interest margin remained stable at 3.84%, with the cost of deposits declining 3 basis points to 1.93%. Total revenue reached $248.6 million for the quarter. Committed loan production hit $1.8 billion, marking its highest quarterly level in nearly four years. Unfunded commitments increased 8%, whilst noninterest bearing deposits rose 6% on an annualised basis. The bank's net charge-off ratio stood at 20 basis points, with the allowance for credit losses at 1.32% of total loans. Simmons repurchased 0.7 million shares during the quarter. The company implemented efficiency initiatives including position eliminations and real estate footprint optimization, resulting in an adjusted efficiency ratio of 54.26%.

Simmons Bank hires Jim Recer to lead C&I expansion across Texas and key US markets

Simmons Bank has appointed Jim Recer as executive vice president and commercial regional executive to lead its commercial and industrial banking strategy across Texas, Nashville, Kansas City and St. Louis. The role focuses on expanding the bank's middle-market commercial business in key growth markets. Recer brings over 30 years of banking experience, predominantly in Texas. Rhino cuts Simmons First National stake by $13M as bank stock trails S&P 500 by 14%

Rhino Investment Partners sold 642,196 shares of Simmons First National Corporation (NASDAQ:SFNC) during the first quarter, worth an estimated $12.82 million based on quarterly average pricing, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing dated 15 May 2026. The sale reduced Rhino's stake in SFNC to approximately 4% of its assets under management, down from 7.3% previously. Despite the reduction, Rhino retained a meaningful position in the regional bank. Simmons First National shares stood at $21.45 on Friday, up 14% over the past year but underperforming the S&P 500's 28% gain. The company reported first-quarter net income of $68.5 million, more than double the prior year, with loans growing at a 10% annualised pace and net interest margin expanding to 3.84%.
