The Embedded team at Shield works with the electrical engineering team on the design and bring up of our cutting edge hardware. Platform and bring up spans firmware for multiple micro controllers for data acquisition along with Linux OS and drivers for video capture to support Shield’s AI systems.

What you’ll do:

For this project the candidate will design a telemetry acquisition system. The hardware (microcontroller and storage) will need to be selected, and then firmware needs to be implemented to support high performance telemetry acquisition.

Required qualifications:

Must be a rising Senior, rising Master’s or PhD graduate, preparing to graduate Spring 2024
Ability to read and design schematics.
Understanding of embedded programming.

Preferred qualifications:

Understanding of common data structures.
Experience with interrupt driven or multi-threaded code.
