Senior Buyer

What you will get to do:

• Manage key elements of the Vendor Management process across a portfolio of materials, services and assets as defined by capabilities and needs of the business.
• Utilize key business processes and systems to maintain visibility of inventory and material needs to ensure success commercially while managing inventory effectively.
• Create & communicate alignment from the Commercial voice – forecasts, historical demand and otherwise – through current inventory, existing supply to create the required actions to drive purchase activity.
• Manage the critical PO process to ensure timely & cost-effective flow of materials utilizing various purchasing actions.
• Work across the organization and supply base to help develop and define alternate materials and vendors to support the business needs and supply risk.
• Maintain the integrity of the ERP System by ensuring all master data is maintained actively or communicated as appropriate.
• Engage the organization with a process improvement mindset to ensure processes are driven to yield continuous improvement within the function and across the business.
• Work with business unit peers and leadership to help develop and maintain standardization of critical business processes.

What will make you successful:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in related roles.
• Experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred.
• Strong Supply Chain System & Process understanding including clear demonstration of ERP systems
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and supply requirements.
• Knowledge & experience in market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with an above average working knowledge of Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both individually and within a team.
• Strong process mindset with a curiosity and drive to seek & implement process improvement.
• Strong analytical mindset with outstanding organizational skills.
• Solid conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
