- Experience working in a SAP environment with transaction-code knowledge.
- Experience in a shared-services or customer-facing environment.
- Working knowledge of the Procure to Pay process.
- Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures and Desktop Procedures.

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of direct taxes, including income-tax tax deducted at source, and indirect taxes, including Goods and Services Tax.
- Experience handling import-material vendor payments and related services such as customs-house-agent services and customs duty.
- Knowledge of accounts-payable ageing and timely handling of debit balances.
- Knowledge of treasury processes for payment authorization and execution.
- Knowledge of payment modes and their execution according to process and vendor requirements.
- Process invoices for accounts payable.
- Handle the accounts-payable vendor helpdesk and resolve queries.
- Process payments.
- Exercise control over open goods-receipt/invoice-receipt reports, open-advances reports, and critical-vendor reports.
- Verify payable information in the system and highlight data discrepancies.
- Document bounced and fraudulent payments and notify the appropriate authorities when such documents are created.
- Respond to queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage vendor escalations, including periodic reconciliation of statements of account.
- Assist with end-to-end month-end closing.
- Create data trackers to support monitoring activities.
- Ensure service-level-agreement timelines for processing accounts-payable invoices are met.
- Handle timely reversals and rectifications.
- Assist the team leader with payment and payroll activities.
- Coordinate with treasury to synchronize payment authorization and execution.
- Working knowledge of VIM-SAP.
- Confidence and ability to multitask.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
