Requirements
  • High school graduation or an equivalent credential is required.
  • Three years of related mechanical and electrical experience are preferred.
  • Ability to transport equipment of varying sizes and weights throughout the facility and hospital campus, work throughout the entire facility, and operate equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge and competence in the area of practice are preferred.
  • A clean and valid New York State driver's license is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and take direction and supervision is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of the responsibilities associated with maintaining and servicing the physical plant is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff at all levels, visitors, and outside agencies is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of engineering and plant maintenance functions to support efficient operation of the physical plant, hospital campus, and off-site locations.
