- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a Food Handler’s permit or Serve Safe Certification where required by law or policy.
- Must have knowledge of the operations and maintenance of all equipment in the assigned stores.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work a minimum of three second shifts per week opposite the manager, ensuring that key operating hours have a manager on duty.
- Must have reliable transportation and a phone.
- Must maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Must be able to communicate in English, if applicable.
- Must be able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Must be able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods; the role also requires frequent walking, hand and finger use, handling or feeling, reaching, talking, and hearing, and occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Physical attendance at the primary work location is required.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Open and close shifts proficiently, including completing all required documentation.
- Ensure customer needs are met and company customer service policies are consistently followed.
- Supervise cash-handling procedures, including control and bank deposits.
- Assist in ensuring team members follow proper food-preparation, storage, and safety procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Assist in resolving customer, personnel, and mechanical issues as they arise.
- Ensure the assigned store meets company standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall appearance, both inside and out.
- Assist with ordering, inventory control, and merchandise pricing.
- Support implementation and follow-up of company training programs.
- Assist in supervising and training all store personnel to ensure job duties are performed correctly and efficiently.
- Assist with training on food handling, proper hold times, code dating, and temperature controls.
- Ensure all food products are properly stored, labeled, code dated, and maintained at appropriate temperatures.
- Assist in ensuring all shifts are adequately covered.
- Ensure all personnel wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean appearance.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance, customer, and personnel problems to upper management in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining required records related to merchandise, personnel, and fuel.
- Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Attend management and training sessions as required.
- Provide friendly and competent customer service.
- Report for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervise 4 to 16 employees in each assigned Pump & Pantry.
