A Day in the Life
The Global Transportation and TMS Director will drive transformation within our Global Supply Chain team. In this challenging role, you will lead the implementation and governance of the Global Transportation and Logistics process strategy, including the implementation of the Transportation Management System (TMS). You will be a change agent with a strong team to support this and other strategic initiatives.

As the Director Global Transportation and TMS
Implement and Govern the Global Transportation and Logistics process strategy and Transportation Management System focusing on policy, processes, technology, and change management to support business decision-making.
Reduce Global transportation cost (Transportation as % Revenue)
Build a team that drives process improvements and cost reductions by leveraging supply chain data from multiple systems like SAP, Blue Yonder Planning, and TMS.
Lead the Global Implementation, performance, reporting, and ongoing Global Transportation Management Systems operations.
Manage ongoing global transportation process enhancements across all region levels in alignment with the Enterprise Deliver CEO guidance.
Identify the proper KPIs to measure improvements in the global Transportation network, including leading and lagging indicators.
Support the SRM and RFP processes to ensure our global transportation carrier relationships follow the designed process.
Lead the Global Delivery Sustainability and BCP processes.
Implement proactive innovation from the Deliver CEO regarding global transportation, resulting in best practices and knowledge sharing.
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience implementing global Transportation Management Systems with 7+ years of managerial experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience implementing global Transportation Management Systems experience with 7+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
Implementation and execution of a global multi-modal Transportation Management System (Blue Yonder Experience Preferred)
Implementing Transportation processes within a large, complex organization, including integrating industry/market intelligence from different operating entities, distribution/transportation partners, and customers to continuously improve competitive position.
Strong collaboration and team-building skills across a global organization to develop long-term strategic relationships and alliances with key internal stakeholders
Proven ability to interact and effectively communicate with Executive management and all levels of the organization related to operational changes and strategic initiatives
Strong interpersonal/collaborative skills, including exceptional negotiation and facilitator skills to effectively influence and reach consensus, buy-in, commitment, and accountability to ensure process execution
Change agent, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions.
Strong knowledge of Distribution & Network Design systems and processes

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$153,600.00 - $230,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
