- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, with a strong preference for mechanically oriented disciplines in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other industry-standard 3D modeling software preferred, with a focus on product and engineering design applications.
- Must also be proficient in MS Office tools such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience preferred, ideally within technical project or program management, with a focus on executing new product development initiatives.
- Experience with textiles and foams preferred; a strong product development background is highly desirable.
- Ability to be on-site (Aurora, IL) 3 days/week; however, this could be more often due to lab/product testing. Ability to travel estimated 10%, including Global.
- Proven ability to meet critical timelines and milestones, coupled with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and agility to effectively transition between support and leadership roles in product testing and specification validation, ensuring seamless execution across varying project needs.
- Assist in managing customer quality concerns by maintaining and analyzing the complaint log. Proactively initiate corrective actions and continuous improvement measures to enhance product quality based on complaint trends and insights.
- Coordinate and support testing initiatives in Aurora, including validation and qualification testing for new product development. Conduct performance and benchmark testing with competitive analysis, develop and maintain VP-specific test methods aligned with IEST and ASTM/ANSI standards, and execute product quality testing tailored to customer and manufacturing requirements.
- Compile and synthesize test data into comprehensive final reports, including clear executive summaries and detailed technical findings to support internal reviews and external stakeholder communication.
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of standardized CE documentation practices, ensuring consistency, regulatory alignment, and cross-functional adoption across product lines. Support sterile validation processes and assist in internal and external audit preparations to ensure regulatory compliance and product safety.
- Lead and manage selected product line extension initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration to expand offerings and meet evolving market and customer needs.
- Track and analyze competitor products and technical capabilities to identify market trends, innovation opportunities, and strategic advantages.
- Actively engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive creative problem-solving and foster innovation throughout product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with the Freudenberg Group's products, markets, or similar consumer products is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of CE documentation, sterile validation, and regulatory compliance processes would be beneficial.
- Past experience in leading product development initiatives or program management.

Nilfisk shareholders have until 8 April to accept a takeover offer from German conglomerate Freudenberg, the Danish company announced Thursday. The deadline was extended from this week. Freudenberg offered DKK 140 per share in December, valuing Nilfisk at nearly DKK 3.8 billion. The deal requires acceptance from shareholders representing over 90% of shares. Currently, shareholders holding 81.2% have accepted. Major shareholders Kirkbi Invest, Ferd and PrimeStone Capital, along with Nilfisk's board and management, controlling 50.9% of shares, committed to accepting in December. If successful, Freudenberg intends to delist Nilfisk from the Danish stock exchange. Founded in 1906, Nilfisk manufactures cleaning machines and employs approximately 4,500 people globally, selling products in over 100 countries.
Freudenberg Italia has acquired Eulip, a Parma-based manufacturer of specialised vegetable oils and fats. Eulip will join Capol, the food and beverage ingredients business unit of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities. The parties agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction. Deloitte advised Freudenberg Italia on financial and tax matters, with a team led by partner Paolo Cosentino and senior partner Giorgio Orlandini. Hogan Lovells provided legal counsel. Eulip was advised by Houlihan Lokey, led by managing partner Tommaso Lillo, on transaction structuring. EY partners Marco Ginnasi and Eliana Basile handled accounting and tax matters, whilst Sutich – Barbieri – Sutich provided legal advice. Founded in 1946, Eulip is recognised for its portfolio of specialised vegetable oils and fats and customised solutions.
