The Lead Data Engineer holds a pivotal role in data governance, ensuring data accuracy and delivering valuable insights to the organization. Their responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of data developers, establishing governance frameworks, enforcing quality standards, and fostering collaboration across departments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Oversee and guide a team of data engineers, offering mentorship, guidance, and support.
• Conduct advanced data analysis to extract insights, patterns, and trends that will help the organization make data-driven decisions.
• Establish and maintain a data governance framework that encompasses data retention and integrity while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Define and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent data quality across the organization.
• Consistently enhance data quality standards, policies, and procedures to guarantee the integrity and reliability of data.
• Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to correct and cleanse data as needed to meet established quality standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze relevant data and insights, contributing to informed decision-making across departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in data governance and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
