Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (ABET-accredited).
  • Five or more years of experience in process engineering for liquid food or beverage systems, specifically in confectionary, pet food, fermentation, dairy, dressings and sauces.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of liquid processing systems for food and beverage manufacturing facilities.
  • Translate client requirements into process design scope and deliverables.
  • Manage and coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and construction partners.
  • Oversee technical deliverables such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, mass and energy balances, equipment specifications, and process narratives.
  • Support and lead activities including vendor package management and technical bid evaluations, Factory Acceptance Testing, risk assessments (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), 3D model reviews and coordination, and commissioning and startup support.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer or Engineering In Training certification.
  • Experience with construction support including requests for information, submittals, and punch lists.
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning and troubleshooting liquid process systems.
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems for liquid processes.
