About the Role

Essity is currently seeking a Project Engineer at our Manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, KY.

This person will provide oversight, management, and leadership for engineering projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Lead diverse teams within the organization, as well as external suppliers and contractors, to deliver projects and initiatives with excellence

What You Will Do

• Lead and support projects across the site, from feasibility to project completion.

• Justify, prepare, execute, and deliver capital projects.

• Apply proven project management principles to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and meet expected deliverables.

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies as needed.

• Provide mechanical expertise to support other functional areas within the site.

• Generate technical requirement specifications for new equipment.

• Lead and support a wide range of projects, including facilities, production, and support equipment.

• Manage contractors in compliance with all Essity safety and environmental policies.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical engineering preferred).
• Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Minimum two years of project management experience.
• Proficient with drafting or 3D modelling software.
• Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Familiar with factory support systems (HVAC, compressors, heat exchangers, etc.).
• Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
