Anesthesiologist

Job Summary:

Join St. Joseph Healthcare—a distinguished member of Covenant Health—as a full-time BE/BC Anesthesiologist at our 80-bed acute care hospital located in the scenic heart of Bangor, Maine. This key role will support (6) operating and (4) endoscopy suites, handling a diverse case mix that includes:

• 40% Orthopedic
• 30% General Surgery
• 30% mix of Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, and Gynecology

  • 85 days off per year (40 days PTO per year, with 44 Post call days off.)
  • 1 in 7 call schedules (30 minute call back – not in-house)
• Focus on your specialty with NO Cardiothoracic, Trauma, or Obstetrics cases
  • Case Loads average per day:
    • 15-20 cases (across 6 OR suites)  
    • 35 Endoscopy procedures (across 4 Endoscopy suites).
• A fulfilling 50/50 workload split between direct patient care and medical direction of experienced CRNA’s. (1:4 Staffing Model)
