ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience working with automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, high voltage AC/DC, single and three phase power, communication devices, electronic controls, and power transmission systems
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings, schematics and parts lists
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC controls
- Ability to troubleshoot VFD Drives
- Ability to install conduit and wiring
- Ability to assemble and wire control panels
- Ability to manufacture cable assemblies
- Ability to safely troubleshoot electrical and control issues
- Ability to read, write and communicate the English language
- Be comfortable working independently
- Knowledge of predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions
- Knowledge of electrical machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to properly use of hand and power tools
- Must be able to work closely with engineering and manufacturing personnel
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years’ Electrical experience. (related technical / trade school or associate degree preferred)
- PLC Experience Required
Requirements and Skills
- Follows all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, NFPA 70E, and OSHA code regulations, as well as all general site safety rules
- Uses all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Read and interpret blueprints & wiring diagrams.
- Replace breakers, ballasts and electrical wiring
- Build new electrical control equipment as well as modify existing equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general industrial control equipment
- Assemble electrical panels, including using basic hand and power tools.
- Work well with production associates, Engineers, Management, and Technology team members
- Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills, solving both independently and as a member of a team
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Performs other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day
- Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
- Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds
- Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
- Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairway to get to office upper and lower floors
- Travel: up to 5% as needed
