Job Description:

To teach in the Health Services Administration program for the Department of Health Sciences, College of Professional Studies.

Responsibilities:

Teaches courses in the Bachelor of Science Health Services Administrationprogram; advises health science majors and serveson department, college,and university committees.
Thesuccessfulcandidate is expected to assist withcourse and curriculum development andcoordinate some program activities.
Teaching experience at the collegelevelandprofessional experience in the fieldof healthserviceadministrationis required.
Experience integrating technology intothe teaching process and/or teaching in a varietyof modes(hybrid andon-line)isessential.
The ideal candidate willhaveexperience conductingresearch with undergraduate students.
Thisis a full-time, contractual position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. is required.
Experience working in a healthcare setting is desired.
A doctoral degree in HealthServices Administrationor a related field is required.
Knowledge oftheoryand practice in thehealth sciences,especiallyinthe areaof health servicesadministration,is required.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge ofcurriculum design foracademic programs.
Effective planning, excellent communication skills,and the ability to work with students andcolleagues fromdiverse backgrounds arenecessary.
Ability to provide a record of research, scholarship activities, and strong teaching ability.
