Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university, school, or educational institution recognized by the United States Department of Education.
  • At least six years of administrative support experience.
  • At least two years of experience as a team lead or primary administrative point of contact.
  • Ability to provide a favorable credit history.
  • Ability to successfully pass background and drug screening.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, and other office automation tools used to prepare correspondence, manage records, track data, maintain workflows, and support administrative reporting.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, monitor administrative workflow, prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and review work products for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and consistency.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate team members to meet contract expectations, maintain service quality, and support timely completion of assigned administrative responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of administrative and office support regulations, procedures, practices, and policies, with the ability to identify requirements, anticipate issues, and recommend practical office procedures or workflow improvements.
  • Knowledge of methods for gathering, evaluating, summarizing, and presenting information from multiple sources while considering relevance, source quality, sensitivity, and intended use.
  • Skill in preparing forms, documents, reports, and correspondence; drafting replies to routine inquiries; reviewing materials submitted for approval or signature; and ensuring documents are clear, complete, and properly formatted.
  • Accurate typing and data-entry skills sufficient to prepare correspondence, input and extract information, maintain records, and support routine reporting requirements.
  • Ability to anticipate administrative and program support needs, coordinate effectively with internal and external sources, and take timely action to help accomplish office objectives.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact professionally and effectively with senior executives, managers, government personnel, contractor staff, and visitors.
  • Sufficient fine motor skill for computer and calculator use and repetitive keyboarding for extended periods.
  • Visual, auditory, and communication abilities sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and twist at the waist occasionally.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly and more occasionally.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on-site lead for a team of six administrative support professionals supporting the United States Securities and Exchange Commission Division of Trading and Markets.
  • Coordinate daily administrative operations, balance the team's workload, monitor service quality, escalate issues as needed, and serve as the primary point of contact among assigned personnel, SEC stakeholders, and program management.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of assigned contractor personnel, including workload distribution, assignment tracking, service coverage, escalation support, and coordination with program management regarding performance or operational concerns.
  • Perform complex clerical and administrative duties for senior officers, managers, and professional staff, including handling confidential or sensitive information, preparing initial drafts of correspondence and memoranda, proofreading materials, tracking internal reports, and gathering information for action by SEC personnel.
  • Use office automation software and SEC-approved systems to prepare and edit correspondence, enter and retrieve data, conduct research, create documents, send emails, maintain filing systems, update office-level spreadsheets, and support SharePoint, sec.gov, and other SEC web application updates.
  • Process, route, and file correspondence, documents, internal reports, forms, and tips, complaints, and inquiries from the public in accordance with SEC direction and office procedures.
  • Process SEC forms and administrative requests, including time and attendance forms, visitor access requests, desktop publication requests, facilities requests, office supply requests, and maintenance-related needs.
  • Answer and route telephone calls, greet callers and visitors, record accurate messages, document required follow-up, and answer routine questions.
  • Support front reception operations and assist the public and employees at the front reception counter.
  • Locate documents and files.
  • Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, reserve meeting rooms, prepare agendas, arrange video and teleconference support, coordinate SEC IT support as needed, and record meeting minutes when assigned.
  • Print, copy, fax, scan, assemble, distribute, file, and maintain documents; type letters, reports, newsletters, and other materials; and create PowerPoint or other presentation materials as requested.
  • Interact with other SEC offices, divisions, and outside organizations to obtain, verify, and provide information requested by SEC personnel.
  • Review and proofread work products for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and consistency before submission or distribution.
  • Assist with updating office forms, procedures, supplies, equipment tracking, filing systems, schedules, and communications used to support division operations.

What is the Scope of the FBI Academy Contract? Chenega told ExecutiveBiz on Wednesday that the security services required under the contract include access control, visitor screening and visitor badge processing. The contract has a performance period of 5 years and is worth $6.4 million. Work begins May 2026. Commenting on the award, CNI President David Pine said, "The Chenega team is proud to have been awarded this contract once again and continue its partnership with the FBI's Training Division." "Supporting the FBI Academy is an important component of Chenega's law enforcement agency business line which includes projects with the United States Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center, DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the NASA Protective Services Training Academy," Pine added. What other security services contracts has CNI secured in 2026? The contract with the FBI Academy is CNI's latest security services award from U.S. government customers this year. In late March, the Chenega subsidiary announced having secured an $8.5 million contract to continue its role of supporting force protection operations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Humphreys Engineer Center in Alexandria, Virginia. CNI had delivered similar services since 2023, and with the contract, the company would continue providing support through September 2030. And in early March, CNI secured a five-year, $78.6 million task order from the Department of Homeland Security via its FPS Acquisition Division multiple award contract for protective security officer services. The award called for the provision of access control, patrol support and other armed security guard services at IRS headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the IRS New Carrollton Center in Lanham, Maryland. Work on the contract is expected to start in June and run through May 2031.
