Functional consultant - FICO

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

About the Job:

Provides consulting to businesses, functions, and geographies that utilize IT services and drives effective business engagement for IT. Understands the specific goals and needs of the business, function, or geography and represents those needs to the IT organization. Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate members of the business/function/geography organization. Works to align business, function, and geography requirements with IT plans and priorities. Facilitates business, function, and geography involvement in IT projects to identify requirements, gather feedback, and finalize scope. Identifies opportunities for IT to leverage solutions across business, function, and geographic organizations. Establishes effective processes for managing the relationship on an ongoing basis. Communicates IT standards and new IT solutions, processes, and policies to the businesses, functions, and geographies. Connects business/function/geography “customers” with appropriate IT technical resources when technical discussions are necessary.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where assessment of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Oversees and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant judgment to arrive at best method for accomplishing work and achieving goals. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

How You’ll Make Your Mark:

• Establishes and maintains relationships with key tactical managers and business implementation leads. Uses deep business knowledge of multiple businesses or sub- domains to drive engagement for major IT initiatives. Influences overall IT and business planning; engages in strategic business planning where there is IT impact.
• Communicates tactical IT decisions and plans and works to achieve alignment with relevant areas of the business, function, or geography.
• Represents the needs of the business, function, or geography on an ongoing basis to maintain consistent plans between IT and the business.
• Identifies areas where the business, function, or geography can take advantage of standard IT solutions.
• Drives for adoption of standard solutions.
• Participates in IT projects to ensure that business, function, and geography "customers" are included appropriately and ensures that they receive sufficient and timely communications.
• Establishes IT processes which are consistent with overall organizational goals.

About You:

• Typically a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 8 years experience.
• Consultant must be knowledgeable in core FICO modules [ Enterprise structure, Gl, AR, AP, AA, Banking, CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, COPA, CO-PC.]
• Configure in all the FICO modules stated above
• Knowledge of integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules like MM, SD and HCM.
• Write FDS and work on Customized development with ABAP team.
• Expert knowledge of working on RICEFW objects.
• Write FDS and work on Customized development with ABAP team.
• End to end testing of all FICO processes in all FICO modules. Tests include unit testing and regression testing. Should assist business in unit testing
• Resolve any testing discrepancies
• Demo the functionality developed and unit tested.
• Help in the creation of training, product, and solution documentation
• Assist in migration of financial data from legacy systems to SAP, ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work and effective communication throughout projects

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. USD Annual Salary: $89,400.00 - $206,500.00
