The platform works by unifying diverse data types—such as location and timing—through dozens of microservices to provide optimized recommendations for tasks like fleet management and risk modeling. Unlike many competitors, Mobi combines a decade of travel industry experience with "Intent Driven Search," which uses natural language to analyze millions of data points for personalized travel planning. The company's goal is to help enterprises automate complex processes and use predictive analytics to scale their operations globally.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Andrew Boch became CEO on July 15, 2025, signaling sharper execution.
  • Cyberlogic partnered with Mobi in September 2024 to automate transfer planning.
  • Mobi’s hospitality products target direct bookings and revenue lift, not generic chatbot experiments.

What critics are saying

  • Google, Booking.com, and Expedia already own travel search, crushing standalone discovery tools.
  • Mobi’s travel wedge depends on enterprise integrations that routinely drag past six weeks.
  • If customers treat IDS as a feature, Mobi’s platform becomes a replaceable data layer.

What makes Mobi unique

  • MIT-origin Mobi launched IDS in September 2024, combining LLMs with 40 million POIs.
  • Its travel taxonomy and enrichment stack turns messy location data into bookable recommendations.
  • Six-week IDS deployments beat slow enterprise travel software implementations.
