  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Plastics, Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–7+ years (mid-level) or 8–12+ years (senior-level) in injection molding process development.
  • Hands-on ability to set up, start up, and optimize injection molding machines.
  • Strong background in tooling, equipment, polymer behavior, and quality systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead process improvement projects and collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, change over, and optimize injection molding machines using scientific molding principles. Improve cycle times, reduce defects, and ensure process stability.
  • Evaluate and refine mold tooling, participate in design reviews, and build/adjust robot end-of-arm tooling. Source new equipment as production needs evolve.
  • Diagnose process and tooling issues, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to maintain high yield and quality.
  • Lead or support projects to improve yield, cost, and cycle time. Qualify new products, tools, and materials, and stay current with technology advancements.
  • Write SOPs, maintain process documentation, and train technicians/operators to ensure safe, consistent execution.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve issues, provide design-for-manufacturability feedback, and ensure smooth production ramp-up.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with automation and end-of-arm tooling preferred.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus.
