  • 5+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer in an autonomous systems, robotics, data science, machine learning, computer vision, or software development environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Information Systems or a related area
  • Solid technical aptitude and ability to understand technical designs, challenges, and risks
  • Knowledge of technical architectures, computer science, and software development lifecycle
  • Deep cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and communication experience
  • Direct impact through design, development, and launch of products
  • Data-driven with metrics definition and analysis skills
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Passion for shipping new products
Responsibilities
  • Partner tightly with software engineering leaders for cross-functional software engineering programs
  • Derive requirements and test verification strategies with system engineering, testing, and operational teams
  • Facilitate regular executive program reviews
  • Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to upper management
  • Frame and deliver work for company-level integration milestones
  • Remove obstacles, manage issue escalations, and support teams
  • Support technical and strategic planning
  • Lead conversations with key stakeholders to develop program/project plans

Aurora is developing the Aurora Driver, an intelligent autonomous driving system designed for multiple vehicle types, including freight-hauling trucks and ride-hailing passenger vehicles. The technology incorporates a fusion of sensor types, high definition mapping data, and continuous training on public roads and in virtual tests to ensure safe and efficient autonomous transport.
