Requirements
  • Hold a current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Hold a DEA license or be willing to obtain DEA licensure.
  • Be comfortable and interested in performing peripheral joint injections of the knees, shoulders, and hips.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Be familiar with electronic health record charting.
  • Be self-motivated and comfortable providing personalized care in an autonomous practice environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform focused patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
  • Provide targeted interventions including joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
  • Round at one to three skilled nursing facilities or similar rehabilitation centers one to three days per week at each location.
  • Serve as the sole physiatry provider on-site while consulting with the collaborative clinical team as needed.
  • Coordinate care and refer patients to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
