Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in an armed corporate security position.
  • Required licensing or proven training in defensive tactics, de-escalation, first aid or medical response, security guarding, and firearms use.
  • Current or retired law enforcement status, or a current Concealed Pistol License issued by the Washington State Department of Licensing, because the position may be armed.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Washington State Armed Guard Card.
  • Current or obtainable CPR, First Aid, and AED training or higher.
  • Experience with physical security, closed-circuit television, and alarm monitoring systems.
  • High ethical standards and the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with senior company leadership.
  • Ability to synthesize facts, concepts, and principles.
  • Emotional intelligence and a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
  • Safeguard the client site and personnel from security and safety hazards.
  • Provide professional and courteous security coverage for employees, guests, and others in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Establish a front-facing security presence during business hours.
  • Monitor access control, alarm, and closed-circuit television technologies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate and manage the visitor process and reception function, including guest badge issuance.
  • Manage points of interest for unsolicited contact, including visits, mail, and phone calls.
  • Secure arrival and departure routes for key executives.
  • Assist in developing an incident reporting and activity log, and maintain accurate records.
  • Integrate security support into human resources functions, including terminations, screenings, and access removal.
  • Complete daily requests from management.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience.
  • Executive protection and/or tactical training.
  • Advanced medical training, such as emergency medical technician, wilderness emergency medical technician, wilderness first responder, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, or Tactical Emergency Casualty Care.
  • Alarm and access control systems certification, such as Genetec and/or Bosch.
  • Completion and maintenance of the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission Firearms Certification course.
