THE POSITION – BOOKING INTERN
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides
real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After
finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live
entertainment business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world
situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a
part-time position, up to 25 hours per week.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Assisting booking department with administrative duties
• Maintaining confirmation grid for all LNU events
• Research potential target markets for shows
• Research digital avenues in various markets
• Request, track, and coordinate assets for events
• Cover shows
• Final internship project will be assigned at the beginning of the internship program to be
presented at the end
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To learn the ins and outs of how the Live Nation Urban division operates as a standalone unit
and as a team in tandem with our local offices. The intern will also shadow multiple departments
within the local office to learn every aspect of how the business functions. The intern will also
shadow each department on a show day to learn how the respective department works in
relation to getting a show off the ground.
• Learn the basics of talent booking
• Learn tour routing and how markets dictate where tours go
• Sit with our local team to learn the booking side from their perspective (new bands
reaching out to them, talent buying, etc)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to
the internship you are applying for
• Junior or Senior standing
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects at once
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs. and
occasional sitting.
This program is during Summer 2023.

The expected compensation for this position in California is:
$15.50 USD Hourly
