Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design.
  • Experience with computer-aided design and drafting, including Revit, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and sponsors through written, oral, and graphic media.
  • Fundamental understanding of time management and the ability to maintain focus across multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to travel internationally or domestically at least 10% of the time.
  • Ability to perform office, shipboard, shipyard, and construction-site activities, including walking on vessels and maneuvering around obstacles.
  • Ability to sit, stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a personal computer, communicate, listen, and assess information.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move 20–25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate architectural design work for newbuild, revitalization, and refurbishment projects.
  • Assist in planning and managing design deliverables and coordinate with external architectural, interior design, and consultancy firms worldwide.
  • Review drawings and proposals with the supervisor, recommend decisions, and provide design solutions and ideas.
  • Ensure design intent is clear and credible and that guidance from the Executive Steering Committee and Brand Think Tank is communicated throughout the design process.
  • Apply design guidelines, standards, computer-aided design and drafting standards, and contract references while assisting the supervisor with project-material oversight.
  • Support project teams across multiple phases of the design process and apply developing professional skills and best practices.
  • Uphold SQM practices throughout all design phases.
  • Attend meetings with sponsors when required.
  • Maintain client and consultant relationships; study, collect, compare, share, and store statistical information; and create presentations for design management.
  • Consider cost complexity and support cost-control needs in design work.
  • Assist with practicality reviews addressing operational, risk, and accessibility concerns in design.
  • Support shop-drawing reviews, yard and contractor coordination meetings, mockup reviews, factory visits, and inspections during newbuilding and drydock periods.
  • Research industry trends and innovation and maintain market knowledge.
  • Accept assignments for design concepts, space planning, design development, and drawings and details such as elevations and sections for designated venues.
  • Perform other assigned job-related duties.

Royal Caribbean completes $1.25B bond offering to refinance debt

Royal Caribbean Group has completed a registered public offering of $1.25 billion in senior unsecured notes due 2034. The notes, which carry a 5.550% interest rate, will mature on 20 January 2034 unless redeemed earlier. The cruise operator plans to use the net proceeds primarily to repay part of its outstanding floating rate term loan facilities. Any remaining funds will go towards repaying or refinancing other existing debt. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. served as lead book-running managers for the offering. The notes were sold pursuant to an automatic shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 29 February 2024. Royal Caribbean Group operates 71 ships across three wholly owned brands.
