Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree, ideally with a business administration or law focus, is required, and a paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program is strongly desired.
  • Two to three years paralegal or legal project assistant experience in corporate/transactional law practice setting with exposure to with private equity fund structures.
  • Experience assisting with multiple closings preferably in private equity fundraising and investing, mergers and acquisitions, and/or debt finance.
  • Managing and organizing transactional documentation, ideally in the areas of private equity fundraising and/or investments.
  • Familiarity with global AML/KYC laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized and able to prioritize and meet competing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and experience using document management systems, electronic data rooms, legal focused and general AI systems and MS Office suite required.
  • Interest in staying abreast of industry trends, product knowledge and trends in marketing and investor relations.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to learn new and complex concepts.
Responsibilities
  • Preparing and maintaining various documents/instruments: investment approval documentation, private equity fund subscription documents, debt finance documents, closing lists, corporate charters, LLC/partnership formation documents, corporate resolutions, officer certificates, AML/KYC documentation, etc.
  • Interacting with internal and external investment professionals, lawyers, bankers, accountants, investors and other professionals.
  • Maintaining control of closing documentation and ensuring they conform to Adams Street’s guidelines.
  • Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of private equity fund formation, fundraising and investment documentation.
  • Managing post-closing assembly/distribution of closing documents and closing volumes.
  • Responding to investor and fund general partner requests in connection with closings and amendments as well as supplemental information requests.
  • Maintaining and improving internal records, checklists, spreadsheets, and other tracking devices.
  • Participating in and assisting in the management of due diligence projects.
  • Performing other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Adams Street raises $7.5B for third private credit fund

Adams Street Partners has closed its third private credit fund with $7.5 billion in committed capital, including leverage. The platform attracted approximately 40 per cent of commitments from investors outside the United States. The closure brings Adams Street's total private credit strategy assets to $15 billion, making it the firm's second-largest investment strategy since the programme's inception in 2016. The private credit team focuses on providing senior financing to sponsor-backed middle-market companies. Adams Street has been expanding its European presence alongside its North American operations to build a global direct lending platform. Bill Sacher, partner and head of private credit at Adams Street, attributed the successful fundraise to portfolio quality and investor confidence in the firm's ability to protect capital.

Turquoise Health, a healthcare pricing and payment platform, has raised $40 million in Series C funding led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Adams Street Partners and Yosemite. The San Diego-based company addresses healthcare's administrative complexity by centralising contract data and pricing information. Its platform combines Clear Rates, which synthesises pricing signals into auditable rates for payer-provider combinations, and Contracts, which uses AI to transform static documents into searchable contract portfolios. The system includes AskTQ, an AI-powered layer that reduces manual research from weeks to seconds. Turquoise Health serves over 280 customers, including 10 of the top 25 health systems and four of the five national payers. The funding will support go-to-market efforts and expand its nearly 200-person team.

Pomelo raises $160M to pioneer AI-driven 'agentic payments' across Latin America

Pomelo, an Argentine fintech startup, has raised $55 million in its latest funding round, bringing total capital raised to $160 million. The Series C round was led by Kaszek and Insight Partners, with participation from Adam Street Partners and TQ Ventures. Founded during the pandemic by Gastón Irigoyen, Hernán Corral and Diego Cherniak, Pomelo provides cloud-based infrastructure for card issuance and digital payments processing across Latin America. The company currently serves 150 clients, including Chile's Metro card system and BCI's Mach. Pomelo is expanding into Panama, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Brazil whilst developing agentic AI payment systems. The technology will enable AI assistants to autonomously find deals, complete transactions and manage investments on behalf of users.
